McCain was keynote speaker at ACORN rally
By Michelle Malkin • October 13, 2008 01:14 PM If you want to know why see-sawing John McCain has had to be goaded, prodded, begged, and dragged into spotlighting Barack Obama’s radical ACORN roots, here’s your answer: Turns out John McCain had no problem calling ACORN members his friends during his ill-fated illegal alien shamnesty crusade. Ugh. Here’s a February 2006 press release trumpeting McCain’s appearance at a pro-shamnesty rally organized by a coalition led by ACORN. As the release notes, he made a second appearance for the group in NYC. Read it and gag: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Major Rally in Miami to Support Comprehensive Immigration Reform Senator John McCain and many others to speak at the rally at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus Miami, Florida – February 20, 2006 ― Leaders from a diverse array of sectors will hold a rally in Miami on Thursday, February 23, 2006, in support of comprehensive immigration reform in an effort to keep immigration reform at the forefront of the public debate. Leaders from both political parties, immigrant communities, labor, business, and religious organizations will gather to call on Washington to enact workable reform. The rally will feature Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) as the headline speaker along with elected officials, immigrants and key local and national leaders. Sen. McCain is one of the chief sponsors of the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act; bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform legislation introduced last Congress and scheduled for consideration by the Senate in the coming weeks. A similar rally with Sen. McCain is planned for New York City on February 27. WHO: Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-FL), Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-FL.), and immigrant, religious, community, business and labor leaders. WHAT: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Rally WHEN: Thursday, February 23, at 6:00 p.m. WHERE: Miami Dade College – Wolfson Campus Chapman Conference Center Bldg 3000 300 NE 2nd Avenue ACORN is now gleefully reminding McCain of his common cause with the group to paint itself as bipartisan — while at the same time issuing the usual strident, anti-conservative statements that ought to be immediate grounds for revoking its non-profit tax status. “I’ll rely on people to judge me by the company that I keep,” McCain said in February. That’s not working out so well now, is it?

Re: McCain was keynote speaker at ACORN rally
It's this truth that is the reason some people are on here lying and locking up their posts. They don't want anyone to challenge their untruths. THE TRUTH IS...Obama had dealt with ACORN 14 years ago representing them in a "get out the vote" case in which they won. Obama didn't hire the people accused of voter "registration" fraud (it's not voter's fraud) it was ACORN. McCain considered ACORN his friends being their keynote speaker in 2006. Long after Obama even dealt with them (so who's more RECENTLY guilty by association?). This only shows, all this hoopla is really a Republican driven campaign to try to smear Obama and ACORN (who their trying to smear because of all the votes they registered who happen to be voting Democrat). And these Obama haters are falling for it hook line and sinker. The reality is, they best get used to being losers like McCain cause this ACORN mess ain't working...except to the stupid people.

Stick out tongue [:P] Re: McCain was keynote speaker at ACORN rally
J.d once again you   and i can disagree but i am not stupid infact you are.  Take a look at your opening sentence! Look LARAZA was the one's McCain seek out and ACORN happen to work with them that does not have anything with the 2008 election for one. Senator McCain did not give ACORN $800,000 for a get out and vote effort Senator Obama  did and it just so happen that the multiple votes were being pledged for the Senator  should tell you something. If McCain had done this would your tone be any different? Look I am not a hater I just happen to be a successful African American that has went through all of what you talk and  I  have lived in the roughest ghetto's, I come from nothing and made something in the process never forgetting where i am from, I also employ 12 African Americans that is who i am young man or woman. Another thing you should be getting off you  a** and  make some cash to help your mom Obama is not responsible for her you are you little Dummycrat and you know what i am talking about.  Man or Woman up and stop depending on the government to do what they will  not do!

Re: McCain was keynote speaker at ACORN rally
Judging from your ignorant rants on here I can't imagine your "employees" being very happy working for a person with their head stuck so far up their a zz.---------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------ No one associated with Obama or any ACORN's leaders has went to jail for voter's fraud. The $800,000 was all legal and no ones has went to jail over that $800,000. The ACORN hoopla is a weak attempt by Republicans to make something out of nothing.-------- -----------------------------------------------------But can't say that for the Republicans and one of McCain's campaign managers who is linked to YPM's Mark Jacoby, who did get arrested and sent to jail for voter's fraud trying to illegally register himself and 70,000 others as Republicans when they were Democrats.-- --------------------------------------------------------...None of ACORN leaders have went to jail and the only ones in trouble are the people they hired. Face it. You back a bunch of crooks and are only a conservative cause your scared somebody's gonna take your precious money and give it to somebody else.------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- But here a memo...I made more than $250,000 last year and funny how I'm not afraid (a conservative trait) of Obama taxing me more. Cause I'm not a stingy negro looking for the approval of Whites and don't mind paying more taxes if it will help others (Yes..spread the wealth).------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- And that's difference between you and I. You're a stuck up, self obsessed a zz hole, who's own personal self worth comes from assuming you're better than everybody else (by your *8*y attitude,I wonder how much you rip off your own employees). Funny, I worked my way out the ghetto but don't feel the need to brag about it. You're just like a lot of Blacks who get out the ghetto then turncoat soon as they live next door to white folks.------------- -------------------------------------------------------- And just for the record...Moms would be dead already if it wasn't for me and for you to try to use a "little info" I gave you on my mother to try to make a silly point only shows how you have no clue and no class(like most Republicans). So maybe you need to get out of my business, get off yo a zz and make sure those employees of yours aren't looking for new jobs (LORD KNOWS I WOULD BE).
