That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Bad enough we have other races discriminating against us, but we have people of our race doing the same. I know from experience that ignorant statement isn't true. My older sister has a dark complexion and I don't. My older sister models in our city and she's very attractive to men. My sister is one of those women who gets attention anywhere she goes. And believe it or not she's not light skinned and she doesn't have hair down her back. She just a beautiful dark skinned woman. We as a race need to embrace each other regardless of skin tone.

I am a dark skin female and i am so sick of hearing that lighter chicks look better than darker chicks.  I think that was a ridiculous statement. I know many black men who would rather dark chicks over lighter one. Its the same both ways. One of the reasons why my boyfriend likes me is because of that. That was so ignorant.

Redbonefu, listen up!!!!!!!!    I really didn't think it could be possible for a fellow BLACK sister to be that ignorant and say such a disgusting thing about your race. Do you think you are better? Sister you need to get real and have a reality check. What do you think white people are gonna look at you as?? To them you are just another N***er. I hate to be that blunt, but it is so neccessary in this case. My husbands family is half white because of their polish grandfather and one of the aunts are as light bright as a piece of paper and she STILL had to sue her police department where she is a lieutenant for discrimination. See they didn't care how LIGHT her skin was, they still saw her as the black women and they KNEW she was half white!!!    And honey lets not get it twisted, I know plenty of light skin girls that are not very pleasing to the eye, your skin doesn't mean your FACE is attractive...remember that!!!!!    And BTW Kelly Rowland, Lauryn Hill, Ciara, Ashanti etc are beautiful stunning black women, that men drool over, so I don't know what planet your on saying that they are not seen as beautiful!!!!    And let me tell you something about black men, they are not all the same sweetie, my husband is a super handsom, sexy(light skin if you will) firefighter and he loves his chocolate prinicess and we are living a super good blessed life, thats right babycakes111 is chocolate, beautiful, in shape, successful and doing my thing, my color has never stopped me and even when I was dating, I had my choice of men, because I am an attractive women who just so happens to be dark skin and I love it!!!!!!    It's light skin stuck-up sisters like you who are the reason a black man would pass YOU up all togehter and go totally to a true WHITE woman!!!!! THink about that my sister!!!!! Black women are all in the same boat and the sooner you open your eyes to that, the sooner united our black community will be, you are a  part of the problem, with that mindset, I'll say a prayer for you dear!!!!!!!

Maybe...just maybe redbonefu isn't truly happy with your self and that why you trash talk and down other people, maybe their is a problem with your self esteem and it's not very high as you are trying to make it out to be.
