Now that I watched the BET exclusive with TI I know understand why he did what he did. I do beleive that family is the strongest thing in anyones life and to feel the need to protect the ones you love I understand that fully. But I think now TI knows that he cant protect his family by those means anymore. He has to do something different. I also want to aid that test come to make you stronger and to really learn from the mistakes and not have to make the same one over and over again. I think TI has become more mature because of the situation and learn from his past never to look back again. Just look forward to the future and all that God has in store for him. May God bless his family and his finances.

Dear BET and BET Blog Reader Rell_02,

I will always respect my homie T.I.P. WHY? A MAN is supposed to protect and provide for his FAMILY. I have notice since growing up that when I man does (BY ALL MEANS) to protect and provide for his FAMILY - the outsider (gov't) always finds a way to make how you protect/provide illegal. (just my opinion). Also, let me address that growing up we (Afrikan American Men of color) come into a world where we have a rights forfeited already having three(3) strikes against us... I lived in the projects growing up... I watch people get killed growing up. I am not talking about it in my raps or poems. I live with my three strikes daily. I live with knowing that today that another 400 brothers were locked up whether (right/wrong). T.I.P, Keep ya head. Rell_02, thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts with your blog.

I dont think that he has learned anything....b/c if he did he wouldnt be a 8/9 time felon......and at some point he should have been thinking what would happen to my kids if I go to prison, or or how is this effecting my kids......I think that he just simply learned to try to hide it better, b/c if he he did learn he would not have been in this situation.....Dont get me wrong I love T.I. but I dont buy the I was protecting my family bit....there are other ways to protect ur family....we are not stupid so we all know what was really going on; he was doing what he does and didnt think that he would get caught......what I dont get is that with all this money that he has how come u didnt hire body guards that carry guns if it was abt his family?........I mean I was told that the judge said to him that if it happens again he gets the book.....I feel that he should have got the book abt 4/5 felonies ago, then he would have learned.....ppl like that just dont get it and if they did he would have 9 felonies.... I have uncles who have been in prison and learned after the first time and others who dont learn at all and T.I. falls in that category.....he needs to wake up and stop thinking that his money will keep him safe or the guns, and it also shows that he isnt that good at doing dirt if he has been caught 9 times....spare me the sad story of it was abt family b/c I dont believe it and honestly I agree with 50 cent 10 guns all unregistered and ur on parole? And all u got is 1 yr in prison?.hummmmmmmm

I have to disagree with on some of the things that you were talking abt.....I agree with you on black men having 3 strikes against them...but that is it...its one thing to protect and provide for ur family and its something else when u do things that take you away from that family so u cant provide and protect......and that is what T.I. did...it makes me sick when ppl say that he wasnt doing anything wrong or it was bat protecting family...please he only has 2 hands what are you going to do whit the other 8 guns? the only reason why he is talking to youth now it so that it will look good he made that movie ATL and for what......
