The Man
Hmm [^o)] The Truth about Obedience
My Father, Since we are saved by faith, why do we need to obey God? "It was by faith that Abraham obeyed" (Heb. 11:8). Obedience is an act of continuous faith. "Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God's saving work in you lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear" (Phil. 2:12). Obedience is putting into action God's saving work in our lives. "Such people claim they know God, but they deny Him by the way they live. They are despicable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good" (Titus 11:16). If we are disobedient to God, our claim to know Him is meaningless. "Moses told them, 'When you have followed those instructions from the Lord, the glorious presence of the Lord will appear to you" (Lev. 9:6), We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit who is given by God to those who obey Him. In what ways does God want us to obey Him? "You must obey all the commands of the Lord your God, follow His instructions in every detail" (Deut. 5:32). God wants us to do everything He commands us to do. "Obey the government, for God is the one who put it there. All governments have been placed in the Power of God." "Obey your spiritual leaders and do what they say" (Heb. 13:17). God shows us through human authorities what he wants us to do. "Because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king and allowed the boys to live, too." (Exodus 1:17). "Peter and the apostles replied, 'We must obey God rather than human authority" (Acts 5:29). We must obey God over human authorities. Promise From God: "Happy are those who obey His decrees and search for Him with all their hearts" (Psalm 119:2). In Jesus Name, Amen

Cool [H] Re: The Truth about Obedience
The World is overly worldly, therefore I'm in God's Will to be overly religious. God Bless, Minister Moseley.
