Big Smile [:D] DONT YOU THINK MODEL SHOULD BE FOR EVERY SIZE AND AGE?

HOW COME THERE AREN'T ALOT OF MODELS THAT FIT THE DESIGNER

CLOTHING.They only have skinny toothpick models what about other sizes

such as medium sizes and plus sizes.SOME OF THESE POPULAR MODELS HAVE SHOWS

TO FIND THE NEXT TOP MODEL BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS A TOOTHPICK SIZE,

NO BOOBS AND BUTT.''WHAT'S UP WITH THAT'' Models should have meat

not fat but a nice size with atleast a ***.

The term "plus size" implies that you are bigger than what you should be. The fact that people even use it at all is insulting. They should get rid of the term plus size.

As long as our planet has HUMANS of all shapes and sizes, than MODELS should be in all shapes and sizes. As for me I am a size 6/8, so I want to see women my size on the runway, not just size 2 and O's with exposed bones popping out of the designers clothes!!And I know my plus size sisters out there would like to see plus size represented on the runways, not just at Ashley Stewarts and Lane Bryant!!This is a issue that the modeling industry seems to ignore because they feel that skeleton thin is "High Fashion" and everything else is beneath that!!!!! They are sadly mistaken!!!!!!!

I also agree that models should come in all shapes and sizes.  It's just the industry thinks a size 2 or 0 is where it's at.  If you're anything bigger than that, then you're considered fat...I just shake my head at some of these models because a lot of them look like skeletons and very unhealthy.

I agree.  The industry wants them tiny.  That could be fine for industry (trade events since that's about business).Magazines, on the other hand, target consumers and could show a variety in their spreads.  The only way to influence a change is to get to the magazines via their money supply ... advertisers.  If you threaten to stop buying products from advertisers that support these limited beauty standards, then you're more likely to create a change.I was very impressed with Rev. Sharpton (hope I spelt this correctly) when he used this method with Imus'  (hope I got this one right too) comment @ the women's college basketball team.  The radio station had to act when the advertisers got worried about the threat of a boycott.Yolandawww.fashionsteals.com The Resource for Hot Designer Sales

Re: DONT YOU THINK MODEL SHOULD BE FOR EVERY SIZE AND AGE?

There should be all sized models and shapes peroid.  That is why I am loving the new urban movement in clothing because they use everyone.  I think if consumers demand this there might be some change to the industry.
