Re: Life In Darfur: Jeff Johnson Reports

I'll be the first to admit that outside of realizing this is a genocide that the United States government hasn't attempted to cease, there isn't much that I'm aware of regarding Darfur and their conflict.

Anybody want to inform me completely of the situation?!?

This is the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. We are talking about a civil war and the citizens caught in the crossfire. This is an Arab government killing its own citizens. Depopulation at it’s best.  When you watch the show special you will not find any light skin people fighting dark skin people. You will find Africans killing Africans, just like we are killing ourselves here in the United States. If anything these people are often confused about their identity. Africans calling themselves Arabs, African-Arabs in denial of their African ancestry, just like the Blacks here in the states turning their backs on the African that is within; wanting to be something else then what they truly are, African.

When you watch the special think about the role you play here in the U.S.

Thanks to BET for airing this important documentary. The genocide in Darfur continues today. Recently, the Sudanese military has been removing Darfuri civilians from Internally Displaced Persons camps, where these Darfuris depend on humanitarian aid in order to survive. The important thing to remember, though -- this genocide can be stopped. The Sudanese government's proxy militias can be disarmed, the people of Darfur can receive the protection they are calling for themselves, and a real peace deal can be achieved for Western Sudan. But all of these things depend on whether or not ordinary citizens in the U.S. are willing to build the political will to stop this crisis.I work for a Darfur advocacy organization. Here are some resources that might be helpful to you:- A Darfur background sheet: http://www.ourpledge.org/background- A Darfur advocacy packet (this makes it easy to write and call your public officials about Darfur protection, justice, and peace-process isssues): http://www.ourpledge.org/template-Nikki

This  is the worst kind of genocide, Ignorant africans hoodwinked by an evil so-called dictator, who looks like a brotha but calling himself an arab. He's a Kaffirun( arab for infidel) He's killing his own people simply because they dont worship as muslims. Religion is the No.1 excuse to commit the most atrocious crimes known to man. Youre killing your own people, dude! People who have their own cultures, customs and ways of life, most of  whom I bet will give the shirt off their backs. These wannabe arabs are the same one who allied with the greeks, romans, asians etc. to commit robbery on the kingdoms of Kemit. And our great american leaders won't act because its not in their best interest, China is at the root of it , the arabs dont give a crap, they just want the country so they can drain its oil supply. Quite simply, everybody involved, those who are getting their pockets fattened have these peoples blood on their hands. U.S wont do nothing, she owes china back whore tax. China and Arabia get to instigate this fake war using that puppet ruler of darfur, and eveybody's getting paid. Will the REAL GOD please stand up and put a stop to these devils!!!

On Africa Stop the Genocide in Darfur: Barack Obama has been a leading voice urging the Bush Administration to take stronger steps to end the genocide in Sudan. He worked with Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) to pass the Darfur Peace and Accountability Act. Obama has traveled to the United Nations to meet with Sudanese officials and visited refugee camps on the Chad-Sudan border to raise international awareness of the ongoing humanitarian disaster there. He also worked with Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) to secure $20 million for the African Union peacekeeping mission. Obama believes the United States needs to lead the world in ending this genocide, including by imposing much tougher sanctions that target Sudan?s oil revenue, implementing and helping to enforce a no-fly zone, and engaging in more intense, effective diplomacy to develop a political roadmap to peace. The international community must, over the Sudanese regime?s protests, deploy a large, capable UN-led and UN-funded force with a robust enforcement mandate to stop the killings. End the Conflict in Congo: An estimated 3.9 million people have died from war-related causes since the conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo began. Barack Obama wrote and passed legislation to promote stability in the Congo. Obama revamped U.S. policy in the Congo to include a commitment to help rebuild the country, develop lasting political structures, hold accountable destabilizing foreign governments, crack down on corrupt politicians, and professionalize the military. The bill also authorizes $52 million in U.S. assistance for the Congo. Bring a Brutal Warlord to Justice: Former Liberian President Charles Taylor has been accused of committing war crimes by international prosecutors. After taking the presidency following a brutal civil war that decimated Liberia's population, Taylor created a rebel group that fought in neighboring Sierra Leone's civil war. These rebels committed a range of atrocities including rape, murder and the use of child soldiers. On July 19, 2005, Obama passed a bipartisan amendment, along with Senators Chuck Hagel (R-NE), Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Judd Gregg (R-NH) to provide $13 million for the Special Court for Sierra Leone. Signed into law in November 2005, the Obama amendment provides critical funding to keep the Court up and running and dramatically enhances efforts to bring Charles Taylor to justice. Taylor was arrested in 2006. His trial began in June 2007 and was postponed until January 2008.

Its the Arabs killing off the indigenous people. Sudan is a very sacred land, and they want the land to themselves. Its not African on African, its invader on African. The Arabs invaded there some time ago, and now they want to kill off the indigenous people. I guess they learned from the Europeans Americans, that when you want a land just kill of the orignal people there.
