FAITH TO BELIEVE What is faith? It is confidence that someone or something is reliable. Our whole life is based on faith. Without it banks and post offices would not be possible. Paper money and credit cards would never be accepted. Credit is from the Latin verb "to believe". Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. Everyone who knows GOD should set aside a specific time every day to spend alone with Him. This should be a time to read the Bible, to meditate on the precepts of God, to recite His promises, to talk to Him, and to listen to Him. Precept - a rule that tells how one should behave.

The word "faith" is perhaps most representative of the intellectually limiting aspects of religion. Where there is "faith", there is less need for intellectualism. And where there is less intellectualism, there is less mental freedom, imagination, and more of an acceptance to follow the herd into whatever pen the leaders of the religion are putting them into.
