<P>Bill Clinton and family have long been heralded as friends of African-Americans. Bill Clinton has been heralded as the "first black President" of the United States although there is no real support to the African-American movement on his part. Hillary Clinton enjoyed massive African-American support at the beginning of her bid for the White House but that seems to be changing after her use of negative dirty political and seemingly racist attacks against her main rival <A href="http://www.barackobama.com/">Barack Obama</A>. Whether it was her perceived minimization by many of Martin Luther King in relation to President Johnson in comments about the Civil Rights movement or the "fairy tale" comments about Barack Obama by her husband Bill; the Clinton's true feelings on race seem to be emerging to many people across the world. Her supporters recent lawsuit to repeal the Clinton's camp's previous support of allowing the mainly African-American and Latino workers in Las Vegas an easier way to vote in the caucus is seemingly showing a negative pattern of racist ideologies. Clinton supporters seem to have changed their support after Barack Obama was endorsed by a major union and now are alledging discrimination themselves. </P> <P>Many African-Americans have long rejected the so called loyalty to the Clintons. "What has the Clinton family honestly done for Black people in the United States?" many people ask. The short answer is: "Nothing!". Bill Clinton has located an office in Harlem, befriended many prominent African-Americans and opposed <A href="http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1997/06/17/clinton.race/">reparations</A>. Oh yeah, he played the saxophone on the Arsenio Hall show but honestly, what have the Clintons really done for African-Americans to deserve our vote especially when it is against one of our own? Hillary Clinton has written a book that some feel exploits an old African proverb and recently insulted (in the opinion of many) the honorable memory of Dr. Martin Luther King. When she had the chance she did nothing real to help the mainly African-American victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans. To be fair, Obama was in the Sentate at the time also and has not really pushed any true call for the repair of the Katrina disaster. That being said, Obama didn't have a photo opportunity walking through the still ruined Ninth Ward of New Orleans whereas Hillary Clinton did with Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu. </P> <P>Hillary Clinton and family are probably not racist in the real sense of the term. They probably have many African-American associates. While they have done nothing overtly racist, Hillary and Bill Clinton have seemingly engaged in injecting the ugliness of racism into this Presidential campaign and that cannot be easily forgiven by Black voters. The recent remarks involving racial issues seem to be an obvious attempt at reminding the voting public that Barack Obama is Black and while that is obviously nothing bad in itself; we all know the fine line that Obama has to walk in order not to appear threatening to the White voters in the United States which is why he has not injected race or been able to truly respond honestly to these attacks that are perceived by many to be racially baiting. </P> <P>In short, Barack Obama has truly inspired many people and succeeded in making a lot of white people forget that he is Black and Hillary and Bill Clinton seem to be saying things that will definitely make some people stop and think about his ethnicity and unfortunately, that's all it is going to take for some people to vote for her over Obama because he is Black. If that is not what they meant to do then it seems as if they wouldn't have said things that were potentially racially damaging. None of the other contenders have done so and the Clinton machine is a master at always saying the right thing politically so we can assume that everything that was said was said strategically and purposely. They seem to not be be any better than many politicians when it comes to using and pandering to African-Americans.
