Yes..California was Mexico. I visited theperspective.org and I found this information very interesting it is a shame no one covers this topic. We have a rich history that many people don't know about. And that last bit about California being named after a black queen named Queen Califia is something. I never knew that. The article goes on to say: "on the Great Seal of the State of California, we have Miniver instead of Queen Califia, because Miniver was the Greek goddess who was born full grown, and more acceptable to the Europeans who settled in the state"...mmm, you see this?
