  Come display your talents

Yup. It’s gonna happen. There’s so much talent on the site that we had to do a mixtape. We’re gonna take the hottest DT emcees, combine them with the dopest beatmakers on the site and create the ultimate Dopetracks collabs. Winning beats will be professionally mixed and mastered and winning emcees will be flown to L.A. to record vocals at Fonogenic studios.

Here are the basics:

Dopetracks members will each be allowed to nominate one original beat off the site. Those beats will be voted on and the top 12 beats will be selected for the mixtape.

Emcees will rhyme on the selected beats and the best 4 will be selected to participate in the mixtape.

So get your best beats and flows ready… it starts October 8th. Official rules released soon.

In other news, producers may now upload full length beats. They will be able to decide whether emcees can flow on 60 secs, 90 secs or the entire beat.
