I thought I was the only one that thought this show was racist and im 100% black. I know that the show doesn't show everything, but I found the situation with Aquino(I think thats his name) to be very unfair. He won his little "follow up" fight and was still not kept (as far as I know). In the fight with Diamond jones and John Paul Watson if you listen in at the end when john paul is knocked out, you can hear someone yelling what sounds like "You B**** a** n****! over and over. (you be the judge) Also, new episode that came on today had an asian guy and black guy fighting and the black guy had the upper hand at one point and you can here juelz yelling, "Send him back to japan! Send him back to japan! After I saw this I was like dang...I mean, I understand they are rappers and all, but have a little more respect for the people fighting whether they are black, purple, orange, red, yellow or whatever cause every episode I see kinda makes me feel like the people that aren't black are being discriminated against. And to the coach that said "what he need to warm up for? You aint gonna warm up if somebody jump you on the street". Well they aint on the street mayne. He was fighting for a position. Just my 2 cents

"send his *** back to Japan!"this show wants to talk about respect and all that, but wasnt the guy yelling that Dipset's coach?? correct me if im wrong...but wheres the respect in that?? and hasn't there been about 3-4 episodes of tryouts?? are they ever going to pick a team or what??

MMA has turned into a style unto itself that consists of a blend betwwen bjj (submission grappling), judo, wrestling, thai boxing, kick boxing, boxing.You would be hard pressed to find someone who knows this sport at all that would say a part of the mma consists of kung fu or ninjitsu. As soon as they get rid of the ridiculous rules about no swords and throwing stars maybe these styles will dominate but for now they really dont play much part. We can argue about the connection between all martial arts but that is just splitting hairs. These are the styles that have been proven most effective in the format of mma.

OK at last, Thank you.I've been asking that question for some time now.Now I can approuch this correctly. So, If I get this right, your saying that MMA fighters are skilled in each of these seperate arts and have combined them in order to participate in the MMA arena that you guys have set up. Now let's look at this for real, 99% of MMA guys can't throw a proper kick (Muay Thai, Kick Boxing), Actual Hand Skills (Boxing) range from mediocre to none existant. This is my opinion, but keeping it real, There is no differance between the fighting on the iron ring or spike TV with the exception being in intensity on the Iron Ring. The real differance is drama, which we have tons of. Spike is boring. But that's beside the point, We are not happy with the way the show was put together and have made this clear. You and yours are coming from a completely different angle. Did we complain that there were vertually no blacks on spike? NO! We decided to do our own thing and you guys are losing your mind, Calling BET racist because you arn't apart of something you already dominate. Sounds real greedy to me, but then again, what's new???As for your remarks to kung fu, you watch too many movies. Kung Fu is the art of survival. No MMAer would survive an encounter against the basic technique of a properly trained practitioner. We're in full agreement about the current standard of general practitioners. They can't fight. but that doesn't mean this is true across the board. Also, as you said, The particular combo of styles are what was found that works, but by who?How can you say that kung fu doesn't work, when you've never seen anybody that really knew what they were doing? You don't know what your talking about. Your problem is commercialism and how it's effected the MA as a whole and it's degeneration. That's our problem as well. What your not looking at is the fact that MMA is a by product of this commercialism. What your calling MMA fight's are nothing more than tough man fight's. You can count the fighters with any real skill. You see charge and hit the floor then who's stronger. none of it would work against any real technique.

1. I never said anything about this show not having enough white people, spike TV, or bet being racist. I could care less about that stuff so please don’t include me in those arguments. I don’t like uneducated people and most of these rappers are either dumb or go out of their way to look dumb which is even worse. My mom is from Haiti, so this is not a racial thing. 2. I can see that arguing with you is like arguing a Christian who is absolutely sure that God exists. It's good for them but without proof it does nothing for me. If you’re so sure about your abilities or the abilities of one of your students then please show us in the ring. Yes I know that you said that you fought in underground fights all over the world but Kumate, NHB stories are a dime a dozen among practitioners of more traditional martial arts. Excuse me for being skeptical. You may be right that kung fu would be the best in a life or death situation but in this SPORT it is worthless. The people who have determined that these styles are the most effective are the current champions of the sport. I never said that MMA fighters were proficient in all of these aspects but it is what they study in order to be well rounded. I quote Bruce Lee, “ if you want to beat someone who has intensely studied a martial art for 15 years, study boxing and wrestling for one year and their yours”.
