Ignorance is what harms the black community. Anytime anyone follows a religion or a person blindly they set themselves up to be led astray. Lack of education is what harms the black community.

I can't speak for anyone else but my church has been instrumental in giving me the tools that I need to improve my life. My relationship and commitment is to God first and then to my church.

We should know in 2007 that Jesus was and is a Black man. Not a spirit, but a real live man. The church tells Christians not to question anything and to only go by what your pastor says. That is IGNORANCE. Everyone should study independently. Most of what is in the Bible isnt even talked about. I think I probably know the Bible better than the majority of people who claim to be Christian

This is a generalization of the worst kind. The Black Church of the past WAS indeed like this, but not the church of today. I have found that the more that Black preachers educate themselves the message changes.

Sermons today relate to the average individual, anyone who attends a service in which the basis is "Jesus wept" or whose Pastor takes them to the cross every sunday should reconsider their affiliation.

Education within my ministry is mandatory. It is not an option.

If you are referring to the members of the NOI, please know that we do not "blindly" follow anyone. The man we follow has proven himself to us many times over. You cannot equate Minister Farrakhan with an Al Sharpton, Jesse, Jackson, Martin Luther King, or even Malcolm X.

He has shown his love for the black community through many ways, including financial assistance, feeding the hungry, and providing shelter for the homeless. And if you look closely at the character of Jesus, you'll find that both Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan has made the blind see, the deaf to hear, and has fed a multitude of people with knowledge.

I can't speak for anyone else but my church has been instrumental in giving me the tools that I need to improve my life. My relationship and commitment is to God first and then to my church.

Well I can also testify that the NOI has provided the tools for not only building strong relationships with friends, family and associates, but for me to have a  stronger relationship with God that I've never known before.

I am not referring to one specific religion or practice. I am referring to any  individual or religion that blindly follows a man and not God. Any religion where the emphasis is on a man and not God seems out of balance to me.

I also do not get caught up in their being one "true" religion. There is one God and he is sovereign. Christianity is the method by which I have been saved for the next person it may be Islam or Hinduism. God is God and speaks to whom He will, when He will and uses what method that He will.

In the end we will all be surprised, It saddens me when people "down" another religion to "up" their own.

I personally don't defend my beliefs and I don't attack anyone else's, however,  I don't like being "grouped" into a stereotype.

Exactly what religion are you? You seem to want to poke holes in every religion. I see you insulting Christians, Muslims, and Jehovah's Witness'. But then you said you went to church a couple of Sunday's ago.... I dont understand. A person who is truly filled with hate will go out and practice hatred on others. The NOI has never spilled an ounce of white blood or any one else's blood, so dont try and make that accusation stick.

You obviously dont read and understand scripture. God says He hates everything that isnt righteous and good. God hates the devil, that is why He promised to destroy Him. God says that any one who loves this world is in enmity with Him.  

I suggest you pick up the Bible and read it instead of justing giving ranodm opinions on religion and you have no knowledge of it.

So what did the enemies of Jesus nail to the cross? Did they nail a spirit to the cross or a man? How did Jesus walk, talk, and teach the deaf, dumb, and blind then if he didnt have a human man's body? Was it a invisible spirit that did that? Why is a wooden carving of Jesus sculpted out and placed on every way in churches and Christian homes then? If he is a spook, shouldnt it just be a cross with no form of a man on it?

This is exactly what the Hon. Elijah Muhammad came to do. We have to stop believing in the lies that have been told. All the Prophets of God were men and God Himself is a man.
