i thought this year show was great!!!! it was one of the best since 2005. i enjoyed all of the performances (esp. chris & ciara) i just wish trina had won best female rapper

i though rihanna performance was goin to be good man she just walked down a few steps and stood in the same damn place the whole song they must couldn't think of a good performance.

I must say that the awards was way better then I thought it would be my disappointment was with the Usher performance though it was sooooooooooooo damn wack he was the show opener he was suppose to set the bar high nd he ain't do *73* but give us a wack *** lip singing I mean if he was gonna lip sing he could have did better at his dancing that performance was just WRONG!!! But Chris Brown did the damn thing Alicia, Wayne, Jeezy, Kanye pretty much everyone came through nd did they thang except for Usher so sad :(

I watched parts of the show and was not impressed by some parts.  Rihanna could have and should have done better.  I expected better.  I have loved her music, but her performance last night was like she was singing at a school talent show for the first time and was nervous.  Marvin Sapp killed his own song.  I now only want to hear it on radio.  I hope we can strive to do better, but I was impressed that you could get someone other Yolanda Adams.

I think the awards was great this year with the great performances. The best performances was Chris Brown, Rihanna, Marvin Sapp, and T-Pain. Chris brown performance was great cause he sound good and he look good. Rihanna sounded great that girl can sing and she's pretty. Marvin Sapp sounded great. I like T-pain performance because he brought Ludacris out on the stage. When he brought Ludacris out I just lost it cause he look so good. He was looking great in his red and white I think Ludacris was thinking about me when he got dress cause we had on the same colors. The only part of the show I did not like was when they took the camera into the audience and they showed Ludacris hanging on Lil Kim. If I was at the awards show and I seen that then me and Lil Kim would have been up in there fighting over my man LUDACRIS.

 Usher kill it! I though we loss Usher for a minute but he prove to his fans that he is not going nowhere.I was glad to see him open the show like that!

Ok, where should I start. First thing first Usher didn't open the show they way that is should have been open. To be Frank Usher needs to give it up. I love his song but his performance was weak and being that he was opening the show and didn't bring it like he should've, it just wasn't good. D.L how can I say this LAME!!!!!!!!!!! He had no energy, his jokes wasn't funny,and how do you call a gospel singer a pro football player's name. Can we please have Steve Harvey or Monique back? Keyisha Cole needs to stop trying to prove that she can sing every time she perform and just perform and maybe her shows would be alot better. Who is she trying to prove something to us or herself. Alicia Keys was good could have been a lil better but it was good. I loved Chris Brown did a great job as always. Loved Marvin Sapp and if you wasn't touched by his performance than something is really wrong with you in more than one way. Al Green was HoTT Loved him as well. All the rappers was great exspecially Jezzy's and Lil Wayne's performances. Lil Wayne closed the show the way Usher should have opened the show big ups to my baby Wayne. Overall the awards was good but it could have been a lil better.

Does anyone know the host of the Bet after party Carrie Hilton is?? Because I have never seen this girl before. Where did she even come from?? She did an ok job but I would like to know who is Carrie Hilton ?

In response to Degrandis' question, her name is Keri Hilson and she is a singer and songwriter that is affiliated with Timbaland. She sung on Timbaland's "The Way U Are" and "Scream". She was also the lead girl in Usher's "Love in the Club" video. U probably just didn't recognize her cause her look is always changing. Now, I thought the show was just ok. I've seen better years. Usher was a major disappointment for the show opener. His performance was ok (minus the lip-synching part) and probably would have been more enjoyable if it was in the middle of the show. I loved Alicia Keys with the girl groups. I was shocked that Ne-yo's performance was enjoyable (and I LOVE the Jabbawockeez). Chris Brown and Ciara did their thing and Rihanna sung pretty well too, I just thought she was going to do more. Marvin Sapp was amazing and the Al Green tribute was phenomenal. Weezy did his thing closing the show. DL Hughley was kind of funny with his material but some of his jokes I had already heard before. Please do not invite him back next year. Overall, it was ok but I'm going to need BET to step it up for 2009 or people may stop watching.

Usher didn't do it for me this year, it seemed like he was NOT into it! plus he gained weight his belly was a bit rounder!!! Keyshia, i love you mama but WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT PERFORMANCE??? she missed a step, started the second part a bit early than the playback!!! WHY WAS SHE ALWAYS LOOKING BEHIND??? THESE WERE THE TWO SUCKERS OF THE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! I SAID IT!

This show was awesome! I can't wait to see it again. Chris Brown and Ciara showed out!!!

Thanks keshia girl, yeah the show was ok it does seem like something was missing. yeah ok thanks for the correct spelling of keri's name because I did not know who she was. lol. I know Tigga was jockin her and did not know what that was all about with his metrosexual self. Now that I think about it Keri looks alot like Jada Pinkett-Smith for real yo. She was articulate and poised which is quite different from what I'm used to seeing on BET. That was refreshing for a change. I dont know what happen to Melissa Ford and Julisa I guess they fell off?? BET reallys needs to step their game up because the show is missing something... but anyways its always good to see my black folks showcasing their talent on tv being that i hardly ever see them otherwise.
