IMO, the majority of black women will not go natural because society makes us ashamed of our natural hair and black women must compete for black men with other non-black women who have naturally straight hair. I believe we’ve noticed how many black men chase after non-black women with naturally straight hair and disregard black women who are wearing weaves or their own hair. The black women who choose to go natural must deal with criticism from other blacks especially black men which lets black women know that those black men are not interested in a black women with natural hair. Society has made many blacks feel inferior or unattractive in our own skin. Black men with power are doing blacks a disservice by not helping natural looking black women become more acceptable by not demanding that they appear in their videos and movies.
