I first became acquainted with “The Christies” a couple years ago while watching Real Sports.  I was appalled than – and even more so now – that such behavior garners a reality show.  Apparently, neither of them has a healthy grasp on ‘reality’ – nor are they aware of the harsh ‘reality’ of how destructive such a union REALLY is beneath the surface.  Obviously, ‘beneath the surface’ is where Mr. Jackie Christie hides his ball – not to mention his self-esteem.  ‘Beneath the surface’ is obviously where Ms. Jackie hides her DEEP, DEEP, DEEP-seeded insecurities – not to mention her true essence as a strong Black women.  What she feels she’s portraying as strength – is simply the pitifully weak form of love and caring she has to offer a man – a love obviously not substantial enough to sustain a man on its own merits.

 

Bobby & Whitney – and now this!  I guess a reality show featuring the love/relationship of a ‘healthy’ Black couple is too much to ask?
