Re: Iron Ring
You did good pana! Most of the rappers (and not hating on rappers per se)don't really know about MMA. As for the "coaches" or whoever they have to understand that this is NOT a street fight, but a SPORT. So warming up and stretching and getting blood to your muscles is VERY important. Unless you WANT an injury. But don't be too angry, man. It ain't about race. I see you have Latino/Hispanic on your myspace. Guess what? I'm Latino myself. But I'm also BLACK. Be easy.

Re: UFC

Hey Jitsu, you dont know anything about me PARTNAH.  You dont know anything about the martial arts and are obsessed with Gracie mud wrestling.  No Jitsu fighter will be able to contend with a true s nake stylist that can break bone with a simple grab.  Here's a little history lesson for you, gracie jiu jitsu was started by a fraud by the name of Roscar Gracie and his brother Helus Gracie. They realized that they could cash in on the martial arts craze and decided to do something different.   But soon they found out that getting knoced out by true Baguazans was not good for business so they created an arena which they could control and sway the fights so that theyre own son would win, thus starting the sissy wrestling craze called the ufc.  Real martial artists who dedicate themselves to their style like maoshan and the mr bell stay silent because real KILLAZ move in silence. respect.

Bell would make mincemeat out of you oily homoerotic grapple boys.  Learn a little respect and MEN will respect you back.  Take that romantic sissy grabbing elsewhere. it's funny you have *73* to say about grappling considering your screen name has Sambo in it which if you know other martials arts it's a form of grappling. you've obvioulsly never had someone choke you out or latch on to a limb and extend it to the point of breaking....so please before you call it 'sissy grabbing' go call out a judo/jiu jitsu player or wrestler and tell me how much your hospital bill is after that...otherwise shut the *8* up.

SonesterSambo, I respect your argument and you have a right to disagree.I assume you are a martial artist...I present these questions to you: Seeing the current evolution of martial arts today, do you think that a martial arts purist, Karate, Kung Fu, TaeKwonDo, BJJ,etc can win in a controlled sports competition with only one aspect? Do you believe that the traditional martial arts community will ever embrace MMA as not only a sport (Mixed Martial Arts) but as an art form (Modern Martial Arts)?

Re: UFC

The mistake youre question is making is that your asking if we martial artists like myself, Maoshan and Sifu bell are able to embrace mma as an art, although it is a SPORT.  A real martial artist does not fight for sport but for life, and honor. True martial artists who live by this code would crush any cage fighter because of the true spirit of their soul.  We are trained to kill, not to "tap" someone out.  The difference between mma and baguazan?? ........

LIFE.

Hey SonesterSambo, its cool that you study martial arts and have your preference and all but come on man...Are you sure your not making up the history of Gracie Jiu Jitsu? Cause it deff sounds made up unless you have a source cause anyone can type anything. But yeah, you said you train to kill? Have you killed anyone yet? If the martial arts you train in teaches you how to kill, how do you know it works if you havent killed anyone? Im not hating or nothing but come on, Nick Thompson just challenged to fight Novell or Maoshan and so far they are inviting him to come fight in a park. The MMA communitys problem is with how Iron Ring portrays the SPORT. I dont care about which martial art you study. If you enjoy it keep doing it. All the power to you, we all got preferences. On these forums Novell is portrayed as a great master who loves martial arts and has a great passion with it and thats cool, but from what Im watching on TV he sounds like a loud mouth abnoxious "gangsta" who has very little knowledge in the sport of MMA. If he thinks Tiger claw is better then MMA why did he decide to be a coach of an MMA show?

Re: UFC
hey SonesterSambo, you don't know anything about me either BRO but you still haven't answered my question. Have you ever gotten into a fight with someone that does jiu jitsu? Do you honestly think that on the "streets" someone will really let go of that limb while YOU'RE 'tapping' out? Hell no. They'll break your arm or leg then beat you senseless, in a sense that is a life/death situation. So please don't try and 'school' me on your 'knowledge'. I've been doing jiu jitsu long enough to know that YES the Gracies did modify rules in their favor, but the fact of the matter is jiu jitsu has been PROVEN to work. Look back at my posts, did i ever discredit kung fu or buagazang whatever you call it? No. In fact, I have mad respect to any person that practices any type of martial art whether it be kung fu, judo, jiu jitsu, karate, taekwando or anything else. I do it for self defense, JUST LIKE YOU! If some punk stepped up to me at least I know I can defend myself. What pisses me off is the fact that someone that has never tried 'sissy grabbing' or even been in a fight with someone who practices it disrespects it. I once thought it was 'gay' to roll around with another guy, but after I tried it I got nothing but respect for those who step on the mat to TRY. Maybe YOU get a hard on when another dude touches you but uhhhh not me and neither do the guys I have trained with. So please don't act like you and your crew know all about honor. There are a *73* load more people than you that have gone out and PROVEN to be REAL fighters. You can type all you want about being a true martial artist but until I or WE see it...you're nothing more than keyboard warrior. And please get it straight....MMA is on the VERGE of becoming a sport it's not one yet. If you want to shut everyone up here including me, then go join a K-1 tournament...there's no 'sissy grabbing'. If you can't do that, go to Brazil and join a Vale Tudo tournament. You do know what Vale Tudo is right? It means 'anything goes', so that includes your snake/crane/tiger claw technique too. RESPECT! That's one thing I know about you that YOU don't have...

Re: UFC
Yeah, the original UFC was a showcase for the Gracies, but they have also allowed martial arts and fighting in general to grow, whether they intended to or not. Also I know that martial arts were intended to train warriors to kill empty handed or with weapons, but nowadays people have too much access to guns. I can't remember the last time I saw two people square off in the street for a fair fight. We have to learn to differentiate Martial arts from fighting and fighting from self defense.

Re: UFC
As far as Novell Bell and Maoshan, Man I don't know. I'm from New Orleans, I never met either of them, probably never will.Watching Mr.Bell on youtube, he seems articulate and knowlegable in all facets of the Chineese martial arts, a very respectful and humble human being; BET flips it entirely. TV editing can make someone look bad. I think Iron Ring needed someone for comic relief, and they may have chosen Mr. Bell. He should be angry, and I hope he speaks on it to defend himself.Maoshan just got caught up while trying to be a middleman. He's doing the right thing by choosing not to fight,he could get hurt. Let's all get back to talking about how bad The Iron Ring is,and intellegent debates about MMA.

Re: UFC
you ask if i have ever fought a jo jitsu practicioner?? Whens the last time i didnt get into a street fight with someone who didnt try to hump me??  2 months ago I had an altercation with a young man who attempted to drag me down and wrap his arm around my shoulder in a move that i later learned is called a toroplata.  I found this predicament rather amusing as i shoved my finger into his rib cage in a BASIC baguazan yin pressure point thrust.  He cried and moaned and i slapped him and left him there with his indiginity.  I couldve hurt him much more, but I am a MARTIAL ARTIST. Not a cage dweeb and unlike you body rubbers, I have nothing to PROVE. RESPECT.

Re: UFC
I really find it hard to believe you by the way you talk. Toroplata? Im a BJJ practicitioner and never heard of that. Sounds like something you just made up. Your a martial artist? Is BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, Karate, Judo, etc not martial arts? Do you even know what MMA is? You have nothing to prove but yet your hear telling us how you shoved your finger into a guys rib cage online? Hmmm sounds like your trying to prove a lot by even coming here to type on these forums with us.

OK, Let's begin, Let's keep it real! Ya'll talking all this crap that I'm a fruad and runing scared. One, why should I be scared? I challenged no one and I'm sure as hell not going to change my opinion. I don't care if there are 100 of you females on this board runing this nonsense. Two, I'm a business man. $40,000? LOL. If you was serious, a promoter or somebody would have been in contact with me Directly, Not putting this type of bull out on boards That I don't even deal with so how would I know?Three, as for being in the park, I've been doing so for years. We've had many visits from many different styles. Nobodies been shot, jumped or anything. What makes you think I'm supposed to supply a school for you? You guys are nobody, get real.As I said, my ring is the concrete. Who's afraid? You looking for a ref to save you? There is no ref. Come on, It's Central park! The training place is right in the core place for the Walk a thons, World Tai Chi Day, Baseball and Handball tournament's. There is no "look for anybody". Same spot for years. While ya'll have been talking all this BS all over the place except to me. Training and teaching have continued unabated. Why should I be afraid? It's all talk until whoever comes right. There's so many of you faceless clowns now, it's pathetic. And Ya'll call me a Coward????LOL. If your serious, stop playing games on the message boards. Get your money and your paper work right and approuch the matter as it's supposed to be done.  Not somebody taunting and  trying to bait, That's childish. You want to do business? then let's do business and cut the BS.

Re: UFC
oh hey look guys it's maoshan...welcome back! i was wonderin when you were gonna come out of your hole...oh wait after smokin all that CRACK you must need your rest. i find it really amusing that you say you didn't call anyone out...well if you read pages back you called out any MMA fighter to challenege your bagua kung fu style. Another thing, you say you don't fight for money because it's about life and death...now you laugh at the thought of $40,000 like it's chump change cause you train out in a park! hahaha man you should try stand up comedy some time. And go tell your homie SonesterSambo to STFU what the hell is a toroplata? If it was a GOGOPLATA, what little brain he has wouldn't function fast enough because the blood flow would be cut off and he wouldn't have enough time to stick a finger in my rib. If it was an OMOPLATA he'd be crying like a lil punk cause i'm about to break his shoulder while slamming a FIST down his head. So hey talk all you want...it's wishful thinking for everyone to see you and your kung fu crew get a beat down and reality check. But hey I'll sit back and wait and hope i get message to check out Youtube with the title 'Nick Thompson v. The Black Taoist' with a running time of 20 seconds cause that's as long as you'll last! Good nite!

First off, jitsu the black taoist is not the one making claims its Mr. hill who is maoshan, even though novell bell is just a big as joke. Second, Maoshan I have emailed as instructed by nick thompsons promoter and you have not responded I will send you another one today if you are really up for a challenge. And yes you did make challenges its right there in writing and not going anywhere so I don't know why you claim to have not. All you need to do is set a time, date, and a place and those faceless clowns you talk about will be seen.
