wOw..I saw my first episode of baldwin hills the other day and I was embarrassed. As a adopted black male, growing up in a wealthy white community with white parents I am so blessed to live the way i do compare to the other kids i lived in the group home with.During high school I fell in love with Laguna Beach because I saw my friends in all of the shows personalities but was upset that there were no blacks on the show. Balwin hills is a complete dissapointment! These kids driving american cars and chill at the park! In california..nobody with money chills at the park! They go to the worst restaurants in LA, their parents work for other people, and many of thier homes are worth less than a $1 million! From picture quality, to quality of the individuals Balwin Hills is a sad excuse for black wealth. I've traveled to Prince Georges County in Maryland where the black paris hilton, Denise I forgot her last name lives and I'm surprised they didnt do the show there.

LB is better cuz the pictures have better quality and the shows flow together...but i don't watch it. i just think BET needs to take more time editing the shows and stuff and stop copying off MTV. First they copied 106 & Park off TRL (which i aint mad at), then they copied the Real World to College Hill (the only difference is that they're going 2 college instead of having a job). Then they jacked MTV for reruns of Run's House. They also took The Hills + Laguna Beach to make Baldwin Hills, and they used MTV's Boiling Points to make S.O.B, and that show Hell Date is crap. And now they're gonna start makin cartoon shows?! wtf?

Omg! then go to some Laguana Beach forum. I like baldwinhills and right now i dun care if bet copied some1 elses program cause if they did they made it better. Plus it just started give it a chance i doubt laguana beach started off with alot of props. And if this tv show isn't for you dun watch it. Even though it's not the richest place in the world it's still pretty rich. Anyway it's your opinion.

Have pride for what??Black people have been living very well for many years and many years to come .People act like this is the first time they seen black people doing well for themselves when in reality this is just the first time we had a show about ourselves doing well. No one has forgoten where we came from..a few years we we're worthless? Um.. well guess what that was the past this is present. And presently we are doing excellent, people need to stop living in the past,its bringing us down. Just give credit where credit is do. Brain washed? by the white man..um..i think we just do just as well brainwashing ourselves. You can't blame the white man for everything. Like all this black on black crime..ya thats not the white man's fault,its ours for letting ourselves get that way. And We've always been somebody, even when we were being abuse and raped even while we were slaves we always had our pride. I don't know why people are just now relizing it.. Did yall just get the message when this show started or something,cuz if so thats really sad?? Not all black people live in the hood..if something medicore like the kids make you proud you guys should be estactic because in the "real" world there are black people doing 20 times better. I'm proud to be black:P

before baldwin hills came out i was trying to get the laguna beach dvd's but now ill just wait and get the baldwin hills dvd's seeing that im black and baldwin hills is about black people. its not racism but its better to watch baldwin hills than laguna beach for me. the first thing i saw when i watched baldwin hills was this show is the black version of laguna beach and im sure im not the only 1 who saw that. i loved laguna beach before baldwin hills came out but now i love baldwin hills i still would watch laguna beach but i wouldnt buy the dvd's. i would buy baldwin hills dvd's.

You don't even have to buy the dvds you can watch every episode plus behind the scenes for free on the BET website:P Sorta of a bone-head move...those dvds cost a lot too just for one season they'll be for like 50 bucks...idk though thats just an estimate cuz thats how much the laguna beach dvds cost..but i like that though saves me money:P

well yea for now ill watch them on bet on blast but i would love to have it on dvd. but are the baldwin hills dvd's out yet? its kinda early lol but $50 sounds reasonable but they could sell them for $40.

its good to see a bunch of supporters.  but i agree with you guys...black people with money is nothing new.  you shouldnt really hate on them though...why bring others down and call them "boogie" without even personally knowing them?  the lifestyles of some of them may not be high class, but its definitely upper middle class.  some of the houses arent a million dollars, but sometimes if you dont need a larger, more expensive house...you're not gonna buy it.  have you ever heard of executive lots??? lol. just saying. 

bet and mtv are owned by the same company, Viacom.  they wanted the channels to run the same way just about...and if you've noticed, MTV ran college hill marathons plenty of times.  Idk what you're talking about though.  Hell Date is hilarious!! You just probably watched a bad episode.  S.O.B. is kinda funny too.
