Daily Scripture: Jesus is the Light
"But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared.......which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour. That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs." (Titus 3:4,6-7). Dare To Take Your Place.
A covenant of Grace. That's what you and I have with Almighty God. If you could truly grasp the significance of that you'd never be the same again. What exactly is a Covenant of Grace?
It is a relationship of favor that gives you access to someone else's power. Grace....God's willingness to enter into blood Covenant with you and give you everything He has in exchange for everything you have. He took your sin to give you His righteousness. He took your sickness to give you His health. He took your poverty in order to meet all your needs according to His riches in Glory. Whenever He asks you to do something, He provides everything you need to carry it out. The great Johovah. God of Heaven and earth is your Father God. Can you understand that? If you're under the blood of Jesus, you've been made a Covenant child of the most powerful being in the universe. Dare to Take Your Place in the family! In Jesus Name. Amen.

Re: Daily Scripture: Jesus is the Light
"My brethren, cout it all joy when ye fall into divers temptation; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." (James 1:2,3). Don't Settle For Second Best. I admit, it's tough to be enthusiastic about going through tests and trials. But can you get excited about being totally supplied in every way, in want of nothing? Well, according to the Word of God, if you will use your trials to develop patience, you're going to be in preciseley that position! You see, patience doesn't mean what you thought it meant. It does not mean settling sweetly for second best. It does not mean standing meekly by while the devil romps all over you. No, patience is a powerful word. The New Testament meaning of it as translated literally from the Greek is "to be constantly constant or to be the same way all the time, regardless of what happens." To understand how much power is involved in that you have to realize that it's one of the most outstanding attributes of God himself. The Bible says He's the same yesterday, today and forever. By the power of the Holy Ghost working within you, you can be the same every day, no matter what happens. If you'll put your trust in the Word of God and let patience go to work, it won't matter what happens. You won't ever have to accept anything less than victory again. Now that's something to get excited about. In Jesus Name. Amen.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt....have good success." (Joshua 1:8). Good Success. Good Success is a way of life that comes from being established in the Word of God. It comes from spending so much of your time and your thought life on the Word that it becomes what you and I could call "second nature." It comes from hearing and obeying the Word so consistently that is begins to guide your actions even when your not consciously thinking about it. We will benefit from thinking about the Word day and night. Before long you will start to get excited about reading the truth about the issues of your life. I'd sit at home and think about how I'd apply the Word in different situations. I'd see myself praying for the sick and having them recover. The Word became "second nature" to me. Practice meditating on the Word that way. Let it become part of you. See yourself obeying it in every possible circumstance. It will guarantee you "Good Success." In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Re: Daily Scripture: Jesus is the Light
"And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2) Don't Answer. Be not conformed to this world. If you live like this world, you'll be overcome by the world. It's as simple as that. So don't let the world squeeze you into its own mold. Instead...."be transformed" by the entire renewal of your mind.
Overcome the world by having your mind trasformed to think like God thinks. In other words, say, when you see something in the Word, say, "I agree with that." From now on I'm acting on that instead of what I need to think. For example, when sin calls your name, Don't Answer. Agree with the Word instead and say, "I'm dead to that, Devil. You can't pull me into it anymore!" As you do that, you'll find yourself living like a world overcomer! In Jesus Name. Amen.

Re: Daily Scripture: Jesus is the Light
"And the Lord said, I will destroy whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repeneth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." (Genesis 6:7,8). Remember Noah. One of the dirtiest most damaging lies that the devil ever told was when he said, "You aren't important." Don't you ever believe that. You are important! Every born-again member in the Church of Jesus Christ has a part to play in God's plan. God has something for you to do that no one else can do just like you can. If you don't take your place and do your part, things won't be quite right. You may be thinking, "I'm just one person. What could I possibly do that could be so significant? Look in Genesis 6, and you'll see the answer to that question. There you'll see that the people on the earth had gotten so wicked that God had regretted that He'd made them. He was ready to wipe the whole population out--but He didn't. Why? Because of one man: Noah! One obedient man saved the human race. Think about that. What if Noah had said, "Well, this is just too much pressure for me. I can't live upright before God in the middle of this ungodly generation. I mean, everybody around me living the other way. Every man around me imagines only evil in his heart. I can't make any difference in this dark world anyway. I'm just one man." Praise God, Noah didn't say that. He didn't picture himself as an insignificant man whose life didn't matter. According to Hebrews, he saw himself as a man to whom God had spoken and by faith he obeyed God........................................................................................

And because of that he ended up being the only thing that stood between mankind and total destruction. Next time you catch yourself thinking "It doesn't matter what I do"--Remember Noah. Consdier the fact that, whether you understand it or not, God is counting on you to carry out your part of His plan. Live like you're someone important in the Kingdom of God. And sooner or later you'll realize you are someone God can definitely use for His purpose. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Re: Daily Scripture: Jesus is the Light
"Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad, and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." (Psalm 35:27 The Amplified Bible). Be a Blessing. If traditioanal religion has taught you that God wants you poor and oppressed, I have good news for you today. The Bible says "God takes pleasure" in your prosperity. God wants you to Prosper! Not just in the financial realm but in every area of your life.....spirit, soul, and body. No matter where you are or who you are, God wants to see you delivered from every adverse situation. Why? Because He loves you and He has a job for you to do. He wants you to help meet the needs of mankind and He's smart enough to know that you can't give away what you don't have. You can't give to spread the gospel or buy food for the humgry when you're broke. You can't go out laying hands on the sick when you're lying in a hospital bed. You can't minister joy to others when you're being held captive by depression. No! You have to be Blessed to be a Blessing. If you really want to tap into the riches of God today, make up your mind to be a blessing to others, and before you know it, you'll be receiving more from God than you ever dreamed. That's what happened to me. I decided years ago to be a giver. I developed a life-style of giving. Today, I literally "live to give." And I don't mind telling you, God dumps blessings on me by the truckload! He'll do the same for you if you'll become His servant--if you'll lay down your time and your money and your love for those who need it. Become a giver--and God will take pleasure in prospering you! In Jesus Name. Amen.

Re: Daily Scripture: Jesus is the Light
"But when he saw the wind boisterous; he was afriad; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, whereforth didst thou doubt?" (Matt. 14:30-31). Don't Look at the Storm. If there's any way the devil can get your eyes away from the Word, he'll do it. He'll cause trouble. He'll make the circumstances around you pitch and roll like a rowboat in a hurricane. He'll do anything he can to get you to concentrate on the realm of the physical senses and the situation around you instead of on the promise of God--because he knows that if he doesn't; you'll take that promise and beat his brains out with it. That's what he did to Peter. When Peter first jumped out of the boat that day in response to Jesus' Word, what happened? He walked right across that water without a problem. His whole being was fastened on that word Jesus had spoken to him, "Come!" But when he took his eyes off that word, he started looking at the storm. He started looking at the impossible thing he was doing. After all, he was a fisherman. All his training and experience told him when the waves were that high, you were going under. He started to focus on what he knew in the natural instead of what Jesus said. When he did that, his faith slipped out of gear and he started to sink. Don't let that happen to you. Once you get a revelation from the Word of God, hang onto it. Don't focus on anything else. The devil will do everything he can to get you to turn loose of it. He'll stir up things around you. He'll try to get you into fear. He'll push every button he can from the past to get you back into your old way of thinking. But don't let go. Keep your eyes on the Word of God until it's more real inside you than anything else. If you do, you'll be able to walk your way across the water just fine. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Re: Daily Scripture: Jesus is the Light
Praise the Lord my brother! You are a true blessing to the kingdom of God and it's truly a blessing to see light shining in the midst of darkness. My name is Rev. Stephen T. Nichols and I pastor a small church called Power for Living Christian Worship Center in Millington, Tennessee. At our ministry we recently completed a series of teachings called "If you want to walk on water, you have to get off the boat". It was a wonderful study focusing on Peter stepping out in faith at the call of Jesus. There are many things that hinder many of us from stepping out and taking God at His Word. Sometimes it's fear, sometimes it's past failures, and sometimes it's a lack of faith and trust in God. There are many things that will hinder people from even taking the first step. But what I love about Peter is that he had more faith in Jesus than he made in the boat. I like Peter because he had enough sense to know that if he was gonna sink at least he was gonna sink trying to do something for God. He had enough sense to realize that he would be closer to Jesus than those people on the boat. If I ever come short of reaching a goal it good to know that Jesus will be right there to immediately catch me.
