okay, i know this may seem like a bizzarre question, but, here goes (lol). when someone says, "thank you lord" who are they referring to? Are they referring to GOD or JESUS? I never really understood the difference because people always refer to Jesus as our "lord and savior Jesus christ" but there are time when it sounds as if some people are referring to God when they say that! for instance, "Thank you, Lord, for the great sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus the Christ."...who is he thanking, God or Jesus? by the way, this is a quote I copied from my aunt's pastor.

You are thanking Jesus Christ The Lord, instead of GOD, if you are a true Christian.

Because GOD IS ALIVE yet GOD has given all HIS power over to Jesus Christ HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, therefore, Jesus Christ is The Lord, yet GOD IS LORD of Jesus Christ. So, yes, Jesus Christ can only do what GOD SAYS.

Jesus said if we ask GOD for anything in His name, yes, in the name of Jesus Christ The Lord, we can receive it in due time, as Christians or worshippers of Jesus Christ, if it is a good thing that we are wanting from GOD.

Therefore, yes, worship GOD by worshipping Jesus Christ The Lord HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON if you want to receive anything for sure, as a Christian, from GOD.

Book of John Chapter 3 vs 16:

For GOD so LOVED the world that HE gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that who so ever believeth on Him Who Is Jesus Christ, should not perish or die without any worth but should have everlasting life.

 

 

God's first two human creations, Adam and Eve, sinned in the Garden of Eden.  The punishment for sin is death.  Because of God's love for his created children, he came up with a way to satisfy his law and redeem humanity.  The answer was for Him to die in our place.  So, in the fullness of time, God came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ (also called Son of God) and later died on the Cross.  In John10:30 Jesus said: "I and the Father are one."

 

Many Christians start their prayer with “Heavenly Father” or “Dear God” and end with “In Jesus Name.”  The reason Christians use “In Jesus Name” at the end of their prayer is because in John 14:14 Jesus said: “You may ask me for anything in My name, and I will do it.”

 

Question: when someone says, "thank you lord" who are they referring to? Are they referring to GOD or JESUS?

 

Answer: JESUS IS GOD

 

 

Jesus told the disciples do not worship him, but worship his Father who art in heaven. He also said "ye are all gods, children of the most high". Jesus was a prophet and should not be set up as a God besides The God. Jesus was/is our brother. If He said God is his father and we are all God's children....therefore he was/is our brother. Christians trip me out with those comments and they dont really understand the life of the man they claim to know and follow.

 

I also dont understand why Christians celebrate the so-called day of Jesus being murdered (Christmas)? If Jesus rose again in 3 days, he really didnt die for our sins then because he came back right? Why are people walking around idol worshipping crosses with chizzled out sculptures of a dead Jesus hanging after being murdered and betrayed? Why celebrate that? If anything celebrate his life and the good work he did, not his death. Millions & billions of people are punch drunk in love with religion and dont have any clue of what they are really following.

Jesus was referring to not worshipping him as flesh and blood but in the Spirit.  However, this is too complicated for a person to understand who has not experienced the forgiveness of Jesus Christ.  If you ever come to a point in your life when you want forgiveness for your sins, there has been a way made for you to be eternally forgiven and have a personal relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 

We celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus because his death represents to Christians that our sin debt has been paid in full and the resurrection represents that death no longer is the end of our existence but instead the beginning of an eternal relationship with our Creator.

 

There are some Christian denominations that have many visual images and elaborate ceremonial traditions. But through all of this, there is a simple gospel message that is able to radiate through and that is:  Our Creator loved us enough to come to earth in the form of Jesus Christ and die on the cross for our sins so that we would not perish but have eternal life.

The biblical definition of Spirit is defined as thoughts without physical boundaries.  Each Spirit can be known by the thoughts possessed.  In the Godhead, there are three Spirits:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  This Godhead has one identity as God but separate thoughts to accomplish different tasks.

I always thought ppl celebrated christmas because that was the birth of jesus, not the day he was murdered? lol... Jesus was crucified on Good Friday and he arose from the dead on sunday (easter). I dont believe in christmas for the simple fact that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus. Alot of people dont even know why their celebrating christmas! The only people who benefit from Christmas are, well, businesses (toy companies, clothing companies, etc.)... I mean, when you sit down and really give some logic to the TRUE meaning of christmas, you'll see just how rediculous it is! Most people are too afraid to think for themselves or to question something that obviously doesnt make sense, out of fear of being an outkast. If nobody had bothered to question the world we live in, we wouldnt be nearly as advanced as we are today...! You find it crazy that ppl wear crosses around their necks, honoring the crucifiction of Jesus. TO:BYYOURSIDE You seem to be a man (or woman) whose deep into christianity. Let me first start off by saying, I am not a Christian. However, everyone in my family is. I guess I would be considered a "weak atheist". Because I definately do NOT believe in the story of Jesus, but I do kind of believe in God. But then there are times when I doubt his very existence also! So I guess i would be considered both, an "agnostic" and an "atheist"... I dont believe in this whole religion thing because... #1 NO ONE knows the author of the bible! whose to say these weren't some ancient, primitive men who wrote this? And If you take a good look at history, you'll understand why it only made sense to create something called the "Holy Bible". Its simply another form of government, but even more powerful! #2 Theres too many religions, how would you know if you're serving the right god? People of other religions feel just as strong as you do about YOUR religion! And why are there so many similarities in so many religions? #3 We cannot see, touch, or hear him, so why not question his very existence! We can question why the sky is blue, why the grass is green, why birds fly and so on, but we had better not question God (or Jesus)!... Why is it that we can question everything else, but we're simply not allowed to question somthing which we cannot see, hear, smell, or touch! #4 The 10 commandments clearly says NOT to LIE, STEAL, KILL, or COMMIT ADULTERY. Yet, we're constantly going to war! We have preists molesting kids left & right, we have pastors/preachers commiting adultery, you have pastors/preachers using church as a means of money, and so on! You cant even trust your own pastor, the man whose "supposedly" spreading the word of God! who can you trust!?.. No where in the 10 commandments does it mention a "BUT" or "IF"... And also, if the 10 commandments tells us NOT kill and so on, why does the bible constantlyly talk about killing!?...Things that make you go, "Hmmm???" LoL #5 Theres no evidence that Jesus ever existed. NONE what so ever! This is a man who was supposedly sent from God himself; you think they wouldve at least saved his skeletal remains or sumthin (to prove his existence)!.. But theres NOTHING! absolutely NOTHING! #6 Religion does NOTHING, but cause HATRED towards other groups! when you think about it, its just ignorant (or rather stupid) to hate or dislike someone, or disassociate from because of a difference of belief or opinion! Its ok to disagree on the type of foods we eat, the places we choose to live, and so. But we cant disagree on religion? Thats your personal choice. True Christians are giving of themselves to those the most.

Do not put your trust in any man, that means don't trust in man more than you trust in JESUS CHRIST AND GOD.

When you study the Bible as you are led by your true desire to know THE TRUE GOD, you will understand that no man is ever needed by GOD because man cannot be perfect.

Now, you can understand in part why man can fail but GOD CANNOT FAIL NOR LIE BECAUSE GOD IS TRUE or perfect.  Yet, man can lie or fail.

 

The ONLY WAY to GOD is in true love or first true care or honest faith in THE LOVE OF The Lord JESUS CHRIST Who  Is THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF THE LORD GOD.

The true Church is spiritual and in the New Testament we are told that GOD knows those who are HIS, yes, the souls who are truly wanting to love and obey GOD.

 

Your soul represents you as your existing or not existing, so, you can have either a saved and good soul or you can have a lost soul.

Your heart and spirit are your will and serve to show your most strongest desires and this is what is first natural or selfish within us all.

 

When we are born into the world, we are lost within ourselves, until we submit our heart upon understanding in part or hearing, to the LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST The Lord by honestly telling others about our belief on or in THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST,  HIS DEATH ending our SELF DESTRUCTION  for HIM to LOVE us FIRST under grace or mercy and our continued faith and obedience to HIS WORD in the New Testament.

This is why Christians are warned in the New Testament to not intentionally forget to physically gather together with other believers in The Lord JESUS CHRIST because then we prove to our ownselves and to all, spiritually who we most strongly are desiring to serve in our heart and spirit, yes, we are proving WHO we choose to obey as Christians, instead of only obeying selfishness and unforgiveness or being sinful.

 

For, if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Answer:  Our Spirits (thoughts) are who we really are.  The Physical is what has been created to house the Spirit during our earthly experience. Jesus was a human male but he was born of a virgin Woman.  The Holy Spirit represents the Heart of God which houses many of the characteristics attributed to Women.  God is Spirit and there is no gender in the Spirit.  God possesses all the characteristics of male and female.

Wow, I apologize if I disrepsected you. Not sure where in my post I said I rejected your answer?? Your answer needs lots of refinement, but I was asking questions to help you and others indirectly.

You see your answers lacked several aspects of the Spirit. In the begging of your post, confuse the Spririt and the Soul. Im not sure you know the difference, but many people of the FAITH don't know the difference. But thats neither here nor there. What about the aspect of Will that is teid to the sprit? You see when you speak of Logic our anscestors called that part of the spirit by Sebek, which is dominated by logic, this is how we are trained to think, this is the information that is forced in as opposed to brought from within outwards. Ther is a big difference. This part of the spirit seperates things. But I will digress...

You dont have to respond but I think you have helped me with gaining understanding of how the masses think about the spirit. I have had this conversation with people who are very high uip in the churh and they seem to be in agreeance, however they do not want to loose their congragations, so they continue to give what they know is not the whole picture. Its like people can break down the components of air, water, etc. But when you ask people to break down the spirit they can only go so far...
